42nd Royal Highlanders Scottish Officer's shoulder belt plate badge circa 1820-45. Good rare rectangular gilt plate mounted with silver crowned WATERLOO scroll, thistle spray either side of St. Andrew on tri-part scroll CORUNNA TOULOUSE PENINSULA over Sphinx and EGYPT on laural sprays with scroll ROYAL HIGHLANDERS. Central gilt roped translucent green enamel circlet NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT with silver 42 to centre. Two hooks and two studs. Enamel defective, service wear. GC
