WW2 RAF Typhoon Pilot's Casualty Aircrew Europe Group of Medals Wings etc. Awarded to Pilot Officer James Simon Fraser-Petherbridge who was killed whilst operating the Hawker Typhoon ground attack aircraft over Normandy June 1944.

2x Pilot Wings, one Canadian made. Pilot Officer James Simon Fraser-Petherbridge flew operationally with 198 Squadron operating the Hawker Typhoon, On the 4th January 1944 he is credited with shooting down a Do 217.
The Imperial War Museum hold a photograph of him taking off in his aircraft from RAF Thorney Island for a sortie over the Normandy beaches. He was Killed in Action on a flight over France on the 20th June 1944.
