20 1/2 inch, single edged, quill point blade.  Narrow fuller.  Forte with maker 'C G Haenel Suhl".  Back edge dated 05.  Steel, turn up crossguard marked "180R. 12. 104".  Steel pommel with Imperial inspection stamps.  Grooved wooden slab grips.  Contained in its leather scabbard with steel mounts.  Slight shrinkage.  Throat marked "180R.11.49".
