Royal Navy Officer’s sword. A good example, the blade etched with a King's Crowned fouled anchor device. The solid gilt metal folding guard with a Victorian Crowned device enclosing a white shagreen grip and lion’s head pommel. Housed in leather scabbard with gilt metal mounts. Etching to blade clear. Number ground from back of the blade. Gilt mounts have been professionally flash gilded during its working life.
