London Yeomanry Machine Gun Corps WW1 / WW2 Officer Medal Group of Seven This group is attributed to Major Harry Poulter who served with the Sharpshooters 3rd County of London Yeomanry and Machine Gun Corps during the Great War and served with the Royal Engineers during WW2.
Comprising: British War Medal, Victory Medal, 2 LIEUT H. POULTER, 1939/45 Star, Africa Star, clasp “1st ARMY”, Italy Star, Defence Medal, War Medal. Mounted as originally worn. The then Second Lieutenant Harry Poulter was commissioned into the 3rd City of London Yeomanry and was then attached to the Machine Gun Corps. He landed in Egypt on the 16th January 1918. In June 1940 he was granted a Regular Army Emergency Commission in the Royal Engineers. He remained in the Army after the war and in 1949 held the rank of Acting Major.
