Imperial German Seitengewehr M1898/05 Butcher Sawback Bayonet


14 1/2 inch, single edged blade widening towards the point. Rear sawback edge.  Wide fuller.  Forte with maker "Simson & Co Suhl".  Back edge dated "16".  Steel, turn up quillon crossguard.  Steel pommel with Inspection stamps.  Grooved, wooden slab grips.  Contained in its steel scabbard, complete with Imperial leather frog.  The rear with maker's details.
