Irish Kildare Rifles Militia Victorian glengarry badge circa 1874-81. Good die-stamped blackened brass crowned strap KILDARE RIFLES; to the centre, two serpents and motto PRUDENS UT SERPENS. Loops. VGC Raised at Naas circa 1780 as Kildare Militia, became 3rd Bn. Royal Dublin Fusiliers on Friday 1st July 1881. Gordon Cummings Collection.
