French Army Medical Officer's dress tunic, Fine scarce dark blue example of later pattern than in previous lot, with similar embroidered device on collar patches and similar good gilt buttons. Collar and cuff-slashes of deep red velvet, the latter each bearing 3 buttons. On each shoulder a small keeper of gold lace to receive a detachable epaulette (not present). Good black silk lining with quilting. Trade label of THORN, Rue de la Pepiniere, Paris VIIIe and name label marked 'Capitaine Fernet' (or Fornet) and date ? '17/2/37'. VGC
