54th (West Norfolk) Regiment of Foot Victorian glengarry badge c. 1874-81. Good scarce die-stamped brass Sphinx on MARABOUT surmounting strap WEST NORFOLK REGIMENT; 54 to voided centre. Brass loops East & West. GC Became 2nd Bn Dorsetshire Regiment on 1.7.1881. "Marabout" granted in December 1841.
