Good rare thick gauge engraved brass South African Light Horse Maltese cross device with 1899 to centre, surmounted by BYNGS scroll and resting on SCOUTS scroll Flat wire loops. VGC Lt. Col Julian Byng. 10th Hussars was tasked with raising and commanding the SALH. During WW1 he became a Field Marshal.
