WW2 Pattern Airborne Forces steel helmet with DZ Badge Insignia. An example by Briggs Motor Bodies, Ltd (Dagenham), the shell is painted green with a painted red and blue painted DZ badge. The leather sweatband bears maker’s details of ‘B.M.B’ and now faint size and date stamp. Complete with web harness and leather chin cup. The helmet with heavy service wear an has been issued multiple times. The DZ pattern has been worn by various personnel and later universally associated with Royal Artillery units both regular and Territorial.
