60th King’s Royal Rifle Corps Victorian helmet plate badge c. 1878-81. Good scarce die-stamped blackened brass Maltese cross, lions between the arms, surmounted by a crown resting on a scroll inscribed PENINSULA. On the cross, a title circlet, to the voided centre a strung bugle with 60 between the cords. The arms of the cross bearing honours. Beneath the bottom arm, a scroll inscribed CELER ET AUDAX.
