Good scarce British made die-stamped white metal Cape Arms with scroll below 26TH AUGUST 1857 over a gun resting on P.A.O.C.V. ARTILLERY scroll. Three toned loops. VGC Cape Town Volunteer Artillery formed at the Town House, Greenmarket Square, Cape Town 26th August 1857, thus the oldest volunteer artillery unit in the world after the HAC.
