59th (2nd Nottinghamshire) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officer shoulder belt plate circa 1861-69. Fine rare gilt rectangular plate mounted with sliver star, eight of the mounts pierced with honours backed with red translucent enamel insert; mounted on the star, a gilt crowned strap 2ND NOTTINGHAM resting in laurel sprays. The lightly domed blue translucent centre bearing seeded gilt LIX. Two hooks and two studs to reverse. Minor restoration otherwise VGC.
