Imperial German WW1 Saxon Artillery Officer's peaked cap or Schirmmutze. Fine scarce example with dark green woollen body and crown, the latter piped in red; red cap band and pressed black fibre peak. The front retaining red, silver and black cockade over another of silver, green, silver. Green faux silk lining and faux leather brown sweatband. One or two minor stichin faults otherwise VGC.
