French Napoleonic Period 1815 Blade Cuirassier’s sword.
A good scarce example. Single edged straight blade,with large double fullers and hachet point. The back of the blade with maker’s engraved name and dated 1815 and with inspector's stamp of a “L”. Brass four bar open guard with flat balls and leather covered grip this with twelve twist wire binding. The latter surmounted by a brass shaped pommel. Housed in its original steel scabbard with two loose suspension rings. Overall GC Blade length 38 inches
