Boer War Grenadier Guards Casualty Queen's South Africa Medal. Awarded to "2571 PTE F. SHORT GREN GDS" bearing the three clasps "Cape Colony", "Transvaal", "Wittebergen". This medal with ghost dates to the reverse and early style engraved naming. Medal has been lacquered. Private Short died of disease on the 29th March 1902. Clasp entitlement confirmed.
