Welsh. Royal South Wales Borderers Militia Victorian OR's glengarry badge circa 1876-81. Good scarce die-stamped brass crowned oval ROYAL SOUTH WALES BORDERERS MILITIA resting in two leeks, Prince of Wales's plumes over strung bugle to voided centre. Loops VGC
Designated as such in 1876 with the secondary title Royal Radnor & Brecknock Rifles. In 1881 became 3rd (Militia) Bn SWB. Provenance : Bosleys September 2005, Lot 140.
