Victorian 6th (Inniskilling) Dragoons Officer's Shabraque saddle cloth. A scarce pre 1901 example from an Officer’s charger. Black melton cloth edged in a single wide line of regimental pattern gold bullion lace. To the front corners a gold bullion crowned entwined VR cypher. To the rear corners a gold bullion four looped crown above a blue velvet padded scroll INNISKILLING. Below this the three tower castle of Enniskilling flying the Union flag, also with 6 D. The backing of the shabraque is black patent leather and cotton. With service wear and mothing conducive with its age, bullion remains fresh. GC
