Victorian 8th (Scottish) VB King’s Liverpool Regiment Officer’s Broadsword.
A rare example, the broadsword is of the regulation pattern, the straight blade with double fuller, this with etched decoration including the title “8TH SCOTTISH V.B. THE KING’S LIVERPOOL RGT”. Fitted with basket guard, retaining scarlet and buff lining and crimson tassel. Housed in steel scabbard of the correct Highland pattern. The scabbard is part covered with polished brown leather. Overall GC etching now faint staining to the blade.
