Good rare die-stamped brass Royal Crest on saltire and THE KING'S OWN BORDERERS circlet with thistle sprays and motto scrolls, Edinburgh Castle centrally; XXV below circlet. Hinged flat slider. Service wear, GC. Redesignated King’s Own Scottish Borderers on 5th May 1887. Royal Crest authorised 13th March 1876.
