10th (Bermondsey) Surrey Rifle Volunteer Corps Victorian shako plate badge circa 1860-80. Good scarce die-stamped white metal crowned laurel sprays resting on tri-part scroll RIFLE VOLUNTEER CORPS; strung bugle to junction of the sprays. To the finely seeded centre, an applied eight pointed star superimposed on a rayed eight pointed star bearing 10 within a strap inscribed SURREY. Two toned loops. VGC Formed in February 1860 at Bermondsey with strength of one company. March 1883 became part of 3rd VB Royal West Surreys.
