Royal Navy WW1 Naval General Service Medal Officer's Group of 4 Medals. Awarded to later Lieutenant Commander Ernest David Roberts.
Comprising:
Naval General Service Medal, clasp Persian Gulf 1909-1914, ARTR ENGR E.D. ROBERTS RN HMS SWIFTSURE, 1914/15 Star, ART ENG RN, British War Medal, Victory Medal ART ENG RN. Group mounted as originally worn. Ernest David Roberts from Cardiff enlisted into the Royal Navy in 1904. After various appointments he was selection for Officer and appointed Artificer Engineer 1913. He is confirmed as serving onboard HMS Swifture earning the NGS and during WW1 served with the Home Fleet. He was commissioned Lieutenant 1929 and saw service during WW2.
