Lincolnshire Light Horse Attributed Officer's Busby. Worn by Lieutenant John M Richardson who served with the Light Horse from 1876 to 1887 A good example tailored by Hawkes & Co . Rich dark brown sable fur, with triple silvered purl cords and gimp boss. Dark blue bag with silvered lines and gimp button. Silvered gimp chinchain with velvet backing (some stitching faults). The interior with soft leather lining with gold tooled tailor’s details. Overall GC clean condition ... Accompanied bullion busby lines ... Also original metal storage tin with engraved name plate of J M RICHARDSON ESQ LINCOLN LIGHT HORSE. Plume absent. (3 parts) The Lincolnshire Light Horse was raised in 1867 and stood down in 1887.
