89th Foot (Princes Victoria's) Victorian glengarry badge c. 1874-81. Good scarce die-stamped brass coronet on strap PRINCESS VICTORIA'S; 89 to voided centre; on the tail of the strap, the Sphinx resting on an EGYPT tablet. Brass loops East & West. VGC Under Cardwell’s reforms, the 89th became 2nd Bn. Royal Irish Fusiliers on Friday 1st July 1881.
