Fine rare large unmarked silver oval hollow plate with raised rim incised with strap CERTAVI ET VICI1 with central Mermaid over crown; reverse within roped border GIVEN BY GENERAL SMITH TO THE SHANNON SEA FENCIBLES A REWARD FOR SKILL AT GUN PRACTICE 1796.
