Victorian Light Infantry Officer's Sword 32 1/4 inch, single edged blade with wide fuller. Etched foliage panels, crowned VR cypher, crowned strung bugle and owner's initials H.B.C. with family crest. Forte with maker's details Hobson & Son Woolwich. Plated steel guard with Vic crown, strung bugle cartouche. Steel backstrap. Shagreen covered grip. Now contained in a Scottish pattern, leather covered, field scabbard with plated chape. Some loss to hilt plating.
