Royal Navy HMS Queen Mary Battle of Jutland Casualty Royal Naval Reserve Group of Three Medals. Awarded to 1309U P LARKIN STO RNR. 1914/15 Star (STO RNR), British War Medal and Victory Medal (STO RNR). Medals loose. Stoker Peter Larkin from West Hartlepool enlisted into the RN in 1908 and transferred to the RNR in 1912. He was Killed at the Battle of Jutland when on the 31st May 1916 his ship was hit twice by the German battlecruiser Derfflinger during the early part of the battle and her magazines exploded shortly afterwards, sinking her with the loss of more than 98 percent of the ship's complement
