Cossipore Artillery Volunteers Indian Army piper's plaid brooch c. 1901-17. Good rare white plain quoit incised with thistle sprays; mounted to the voided centre, a crowned Thistle star bearing oval COSSIPORE ARTILLERTY, to the centre a small Royal Artillery cap badge device. Stout brooch pin & hook. VGC Cossipore Artillery Volunteers raised in 1884; became part of the Bengal Artillery in 1925.
