Robin Hood Rifles Victorian waist belt clasp. Good scarce blackened brass interlocking buckle by Hobson and Sons, Lt. Windmill St. London. Circlet inscribed ROBIN HOOD RIFLES NOTTINGHAM; hatched centre bearing shield, bow, arrow, horn and oak sprig. Unique oakleaf ornamented ends, one inscribed EVOCATUS, the other PARATUS; also bearing four bosses, each with numeral from unit formation date 1859. GC (one half numbered, the other blank so possibly a very close marriage)
