Life Guards Troopers Helmet Elizabeth II Period. A very good scarce example. Nickel plated skull decorated with brass laurel and oak leaf design. Brass rose pattern ear bosses support a brass leather backed chin chain, ornate brass spine. To front, Elizabeth II bi-metal helmet plate. To the top of the skull a brass star base with nickel fluted spike supports the white horse hair plume, this complete with a plain nickel domed boss. The interior with original leather lining, maker's stamp of F & S (Firmin and Sons). Minor service wear, overall near VGC.
