Badge. British Indian. 105th (Madras Light Infantry) Victorian Officer's shako plate circa 1869-78. Very fine die-stamped rich gilt crowned laurel sprays surrounding a curled bugle horn inscribed MADRAS LIGHT INFTY resting in laurel and palm sprays; floreated 105 to voided centre; CEDE NULLIS applied scroll below. Loops. VGC Became 2nd Bn. King’s Own Light Infantry (South Yorkshire Regt) on 1st July 1881.
