Fine scarce die-stamped white metal Royal Arms, pierced around the shield, above 7TH scroll over gun with mounted wheel resting on scroll LANCASHIRE ARTILLERY VOLUNTEERS. Converted during service from Victorian example. Three loops. VGC 19th Lancashire Volunteer Artillery formed 17th August 1860 with HQ at Hyde Road, Manchester. Redesignated 7th Lancashire Artillery Volunteers in 1880. Known as 'The Manchester Artillery'. Became the 2nd East Lancashire Brigade RFA in 1908
