Nottingham Thoresby Volunteers Georgian Officer shoulder belt plate circa 1803-08. Very fine scarce die-cast gilt oval plate bearing oval multi pointed star with inner beaded border; central crowned Arms of Nottingham with GR flanking the lower arm over title scroll. Single hook and two studs. VGC 109 strong unit under the command of Captain The Hon. C.H. Pierepoint. They wore red coatees with black facings and white breeches; the Officers had gold lace.
