Fine scarce rich gilt flaming grenade, the domed ball mounted with crowned strap BENGAL FUSILIERS resting in laurel sprays bearing scrolls PEGU over PUNJAUB CHILLIANWALLAH GOOGERAT; centre with floreated lined 104. Two of four loops. VGC In 1861 the former HEIC regiment 1st European Bengal Fusiliers was transferred to the British Establishment as the 101st (Royal Bengal Fusiliers) becoming the 1st Bn. The Royal Munster Fusiliers on Friday 1st July, 1881 whilst under the command of Lt.Col. Montagu Hall.
