Good scarce die-stamped white metal Guelphic crowned palm sprays enclosing the Elephant and Palm Tree over GOLD COAST VOLUNTEERS. Toned loops. VGC Raised by Major Frederick Hodgson in 1892 whilst Colonial Secretary for the Gold Coast; he became Governor and Commander in Chief of the Gold Coast from 1898 to 1900. Bob Betts Collection
