German Third Reich Luftwaffe 2nd pattern Officer dagger by Anton Wingen Jr, Solingen. Good example, circa 1937-45, with spiral cream ivorine grip and twist wire binding, the plain blade bearing makers knight logo. The aluminium crossguard and langet bearing a flying eagle and swastika; the pommel ornamented with swastika and oakleaves. Housed in its stippled silvered metal scabbard fitted with two suspension rings and worn foliate lockets. Minor service and age wear with slight stains to scabbard. GC Introduced in July 1937.
