French M1833 Naval Cutlass

26 3/4 inch, single edged, slightly curved blade with wide fuller.  Traces of etched anchors to both sides.  Forte with Armoury stamps.  Blackened steel half bowl guard.  Steel pommel and octagonal sided steel grip.  Guard with small punched hole.  Contained in its black lacquered, leather scabbard with brass mounts.  Complete with later leather hanging strap.  Sword not fitting scabbard fully.
