WW1 Royal Navy Submarine Crewman's Long Service Group of Four Medals. Awarded to M2304 Chief Engine Room Articifer 1st Class John Henry Smith who saw submarine service from 1916 to 1926.
Comprising: 1914/15 Star E.R.A.3 RN, British War Medal, Victory Medal E.R.A.2 RN, Royal Navy Long Service & Good Conduct Medal (GVR) M2304 J.H. SMITH C.E.R.A.1 HMS PEMBROKE. Group mounted as originally worn. Chief Engine Room Articifer 1st Class John Henry Smith from Maidstone Kent joined the Royal Navy in 1910 at 12 years old. In April 1916 he was posted to the submarine depot ship HMS Dolphin and would see submarine service with C , E, K, M class vessels.
