Good scarce die-stamped white metal example Phoenix arising from flaming mural crown on NORTH MAYO scroll. Loops. VGC Raised 1763 at Castlebar; 1817 HQ at Ballina; circa 1855 redesignated North Mayo Fusiliers Militia. 1.7.1881 merged with the South Mayo Militia as 3rd Bn Connaught Rangers.
