Imperial German Cavalry Officer's Sword With Etched Blade

32 1/4 inch, single edged blade with wide fuller.  One side with etched and blued panel with Cavalryman and German script.  Also floral panels and crossed swords.  The reverse with various etched floral panes.  Spine with laurel sprays.  Forte with maker's stamp. White metal folding guard with Germanic eagle cartouche.  White metal knuckle bow and pommel.  Black composite ribbed grip.  Guard regimentally stamped "9.D.5.15.".  Contained in its blued steel scabbard with fixed hanging ring.  Throat stamped "9.D.5.15."
