Irish Armagh Militia Victorian Officer waist belt clasp circa 1856-81. Fine rare gilt interlocking example with matching number to both halves. Circlet inscribed with silvered ARMAGH REGIMENT; seeded centre mounted with silver crowned Maid of Erin Harp. Universal pattern rococo ends, unusually pierced. VGC Raised 1793 at Armagh, redesignated Light Infantry in 1855, became 3rd Bn. Royal Irish Fusiliers 1.7.1881. Gordon Cummings Collection.
