Badge. 55th (Westmoreland) Regiment of Foot Victorian Officer's Albert shako plate circa 1844-55. Fine scarce die-stamped gilt crowned star mounted with WESTMORELAND strap resting in sprays half of laurel, half of palm bearing CHINA scroll; 55 to lightly domed centre. Beneath the sprays, a Chinese Dragon. Horizontal loops and two pair of wire behind crown. Lowest ray restored. GC
